The Kingdom of Fakes Is NOT X! – A Warning About the Real Hotspots

Sorry folks, I have to disappoint you: The kingdom of fakes definitely does not sit on X!I had a long chat with my friend Ben today – and the facts speak for themselves. The first fake video call came on December 10, 2025 via WhatsApp: “I’m Elon Musk and I want to talk to you now.” Classic opener.Since then, Ben has taken over my old phone with that number and occasionally answers when the fakes call.I bought a new phone and a completely new number from a different provider on December 11, 2025 – cost: 400 euros. Money I had to pay myself just to get rid of this fake crap.My old number was only 4 months old and supposed to be secret. Despite all the privacy talk, the criminal fakes still managed to get it somehow. We’re now testing how long it takes them to realise that this number is now operated by a man.The tally from the last 4 days (according to Ben’s observations):
  • WhatsApp: 10 supposed Elon Musks – 8 of them immediately pushed for video chat and looked really unkempt.
  • Telegram: “Only” 6 – but all with typical text messages, the usual entry into the traps.
  • X: Zero direct contact attempts via DMs or anything else.
That says it all, doesn’t it? The real, persistent scammers aren’t on X – they’re on WhatsApp and Telegram, where privacy is apparently a joke. And that’s exactly where regulators (DSA & Co.) should finally take a serious look, instead of constantly criticising X and handing out million-euro fines.Victims like me have to spend hundreds of euros out of their own pocket just to get peace – and nobody reimburses that. If transparency and user protection are the goal, why not start with the worst platforms? Why always X? Just because it belongs to Elon Musk? They apparently don’t even see that he and his family are also victims of reputation damage from these fakes coming from all over the world. And yes, today I’m still angry at the official Grok – who recently asked me how to “crack” my secret number. A bad “joke”? My number isn’t available. Period. But let’s look at a few current examples on X (the precursors of the next wave?):1.

Dear X team, dear Elon Musk,
do you see the pattern? These are systematic precursors – handles with numbers after “elonfather”, lures to WhatsApp/Telegram.

It can’t be that hard, can it? Delete these accounts quickly before the next wave hits you too. It won’t be long.
Take care of yourselves out there, dear people. Don’t let the fakes get to you!
