Sometimes You Just Have to Say “Thank You”

Hey X,
you did me a small but important favor yesterday.
For that, a simple and heartfelt thank you! 😘
What happened?
A profile full of typical “sugar mommy” nonsense liked one of my posts with a heart.Believe me, I sat in front of my laptop pretty disgusted. That’s just not my world, and I want nothing to do with it.
So I thought: Nope – I’m reporting this!
The bio also had the usual sugar mommy stuff, so I reported it as harassment.
And what can I say: X reacted within just 2 hours and deleted the profile.Simply brilliant!
That’s why today, no complaints – just a big thank you. 
That kind of garbage really has no place on X.
X is a free platform. 
Sure, spam or harassment slips in from time to time, but I clearly see that the team is working on it and removing such accounts effectively.
Other platforms could learn a thing or two from that. 
Fakes are getting fewer on X, but more and more on messenger services. 
Does the #DSA notice that too?
Anyway – thanks, X team. 💖 Keep it up!

  Today I learned something. I sent a complaint to the DSA – with screenshots and my story as a victim. Processing time? Probably 4–6 weeks. Or never. My friends have already experienced the “never”. It feels like an opaque system. Everything gets filtered – and most of it probably ends up in the trash. The big scams happen on WhatsApp and Telegram. (I don’t know Signal – and I’m definitely not installing that app.) X is only the transit station for the scammers. There they lure unsuspecting users and then redirect them to WhatsApp or Telegram – where there is hardly any moderation. And X? Elon Musk? They just close their eyes to reality. Look at the screenshots: The fake has the blue checkmark in the profile picture itself – not next to the username. That’s not real verification – that’s a trick to look trustworthy.
