Isn't this getting boring by now? The endless flood of fake accounts on X

Hey everyone,Don't you think this is getting really boring? Every time you reply to Grok, suddenly these "people" pop up in the replies who apparently just want to earn a little pocket money. Could they please try getting a real job instead of constantly trying to scam honest, hard-working people out of their savings?Here are three current examples so nobody can say "that doesn't happen anymore". I checked the profiles myself – they really exist and look extremely suspicious.
**First example:
@WrightFagan
  • Name: Wright fagan
  • Bio: "Hey what's up you had a chance to win $5000 add me as a friend then send me a pay me message"
  • Location: North Carolina, USA
  • Joined: November 2025
  • Following: 1 │ Followers: 3 │ Posts: over 662
    Brand-new account, posting like crazy, only retweets, zero original content. Biggest mistake: he shared posts from my friend Ben. Smells like stalking or targeted spam.
    → Blocked immediately.

Second example:
@elonx1410
  • Name: congratulations message me now to claim ypur prize
  • Telegram link right in the bio
  • Joined: March 2010 │ Followers: 45 │ Posts: ~6,992
    This one also shared and liked Ben's stuff. Classic Telegram scammer.
    → Straight to the block list.

Third example – the absolute worst:
@spacex20068

The absolute low point: right after a brutal surgery, still groggy from full anesthesia in the hospital, he bombarded me all day. Apple cards, Walmart cards, some nonsense about God and prayers – and then the audacity: "Get up and buy me the cards!" By the way, he barely posts publicly anymore; why would he? He's got 142 followers to DM (or better: beg from).
My girlfriend took over and gave him a clear "NO!". Then he tried to push a fake investment list on her → another "NO!". After that he got pissy. We both reported and blocked him. X? "No violation," despite evidence since April 2025!
Since then I don't report fakes anymore. Pure waste of time. I'm seriously considering publishing the full chat logs – just need to weigh pros and cons. X always takes their sweet time...Reported to the DSA? Let's be honest: X and the DSA couldn't care less.
Don't these scammers realize that their garbage is just creating more and more victims?This one alone has already driven several female friends of mine away from X.He also tried to lure one good friend of mine (a complete newbie who had just arrived on X) to Telegram. My friend was shocked and immediately reported and blocked
@spacex20068
. The poor guy didn't even get a chance to settle in on X!
A few days later Grok started pushing verification on him in one conversation. Can't a newbie at least arrive in peace first?
My friend fought back: he reported and blocked all the fake accounts (including
@spacex20068
), switched his profile to private, and has been avoiding X completely ever since. One more user lost – just because in his very first days on the platform he got nothing but scammers and aggressive advertising.
Normally we wouldn't even need the DSA.
X would just need people who actually do their job and ruthlessly delete fakes!
Look at these three profiles – this is not normal! These accounts should be suspended and deleted immediately.
But no, apparently Elon only relies on machines instead of humans.

Yet it really wouldn't be rocket science to build a few decent, scalable detectors in Python (e.g. with PyCharm).
The next bot wave is definitely coming soon....
The only question is: does anyone at X even care anymore?

Stay safe out there.
