Hate Instead of Discussion – This Is How X Reacts to Constructive Criticism
The post:
I just wanted to contribute constructively – about fakes, blue checkmarks, and how X could become safer. Instead? Hate comments.
Here are three examples from my thread (screenshots attached):
- „You sound super retarded if I'm being honest.“
- „Not Elons or the U.S. fault you FUCKTARDS in the EU are STUPID!“
- „Maybe you foreigners can just mind your own business!! [...] Maybe @elonmusk should send you on your way“ – with clown emojis.
These are not opinions – this is hate, insults, ableism. I reported all of them – X says: „Does not violate guidelines“.
The DSA fines X for deceptive verification – but against hate like this? Nothing.
Is this the „Free Speech“ @elonmusk means? That constructive suggestions are answered with insults?
I wanted to help – suggest scalable anti-fake tools. Instead, I get this.
I live in the EU and have to abide by the applicable laws.
The EU and Brussels are very far away for ordinary people, and we have no real way to defend ourselves against their regulations.
But I say: It can't be right that someone gets so harshly insulted on X just because of that.
Maybe those users who post the hate comments should first sweep in front of their own door?
X is no longer the place for real discussion.
It's the place where hate runs free.
